Above pore close-off the pore space is connected, so gas from many different years mixes before any of it is trapped. An order that mixes before it seals is one an observer cannot pick back out.

Mixing before sealing
The age of the air in a bubble is not the age of the ice around it. That difference has a name in the literature — Δage — and it is measured and published for every core.
Diffusion applies the same shape to execution: orders are expressed as intents, collected, and filled together, so what lands on chain is a blend rather than a sequence. That is the mechanism, and mechanisms are what this category sells.
The honest part
What protects an order is a count
A mixing mechanism does not protect an order. The number of other orders it could have been protects an order, and that is a property of flow rather than of cryptography. It can be one.
So this page makes no privacy claim at all. If Diffusion is ever built, the number it has to publish is the size of the set each order actually mixed into — measured, per order, over the window that matters — not the fact that a batching step exists. A protocol that quotes its mechanism instead of its count is quoting the thing that is easy to state.
